Rogue Bar 2.0 (and Bella 2.0)
A fantastic general-purpose barbell, the Rogue 2.0 is an upgrade from the original Rogue bar and is suitable for most use across both weightlifting and powerlifting.
Description
The original Rogue Bar was a tough, durable, multi-use bar for a reasonable price. The zinc coating protected from the elements, and it was a solid choice for either olympic lifting or most powerlifts (no center knurl means some folks may prefer another bar for heavier back squats).
Rogue has taken that bar and amped it up with the 2.0 version. Still solidly and strongly constructed, they’re using a stronger steel and have added composite bushings for a smoother spin and longer life. They’ve also added a clever cutout section where you can insert colored bands to help differentiate bars.
Looking for a women’s bar instead? Go for the Rogue Bella 2.0, below. Note that while it doesn’t have all the features of the regular Rogue Bar (such as the multi-colored bands), it is very close in build. The women’s bar is slightly shorter, weights 15kg (roughly 35lbs) instead of 20kg, and the bar itself is slightly more narrow around for smaller hands. If you are a female training for competitive Olympic weightlifting you may want one of these, otherwise you can stick with the regular bar.
