This is a great smoothie for before a workout, providing some good protein, fat, and carbs while not overdoing the berries. Remember – though people often want to put loads of berries and fruit in their smoothies, that just makes it a giant sugar bomb.
Avoid that problem by mixing up the macronutrients like you’ll see below.
Pre-workout power smoothie
- 1 Scoop Grass Fed Protein (vanilla Orgain, Garden of Life, or Ancient Nutrition)
- 8 Ounces Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Organic Almond Butter
- 1 Tablespoon MCT Coconut Oil
- ¼ Cup Organic Frozen Blueberries
- Ice
Simply drop everything in the blender and blend until smooth.
